Autumn Equinox Guided Meditation

Join us to recognize the changing of the seasons, on the Autumn Equinox.

Date: Saturday, September 23rd, 2023
Time: 6:50 AM
Location: Memorial Park, Rally Pavilion

As the days begin to grow shorter and the hope of cooler weather arrives, we invite you to celebrate the magic of the Autumn Equinox with us in Memorial Park. This special morning will be an opportunity to connect with nature and embrace the changing seasons.

This event will begin with a guided meditation at sunrise on the West Kinder Land Bridge. From here we will continue to the Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff prairie, and explore themes of transition, nature, and wellbeing. Attendees will be welcome to continue for a longer hike if desired.

This event will be joint facilitated by Aproteem Choudhury and GirlTrek.

Aproteem Choudhury is a Community Health and Integrative Behavioral Health Consultant with experience engaging, mobilizing and uniting disadvantaged communities, clinical populations, and healthcare institutions with mind- body medicine.

GirlTrek is the largest public health movement for Black women and girls in the US. Far more than a walking group, GirlTrek campaigns to heal intergenerational trauma, fight systemic racism and transform Black lives.

Whether you’re a seasoned meditator or a nature enthusiast, this event is open to everyone who wishes to connect with the equinox and celebrate the beauty of autumn.
