Whether you are a seasoned stargazer or simply curious about our night skies, this is an event you will not want to miss!
Houston Astronomical Society will have knowledgeable astronomers onsite to guide you through a viewing of the constellations, planets, and other celestial objects. You are welcome to bring your own telescope, binoculars or you can download the free Stellarium app onto your mobile device for a closer look of the cosmos.

The Texas Children’s Houston Open is coming back to Memorial Park this year! The event is expected to bring 15,000 visitors to the Park each day from March 27 to March 30.
Memorial Park Conservancy is asking the public to be aware of the following closure impacts:
Memorial Park, including Seymour Lieberman Trail and Clay Family Eastern Glades, will remain open to the public during the tournament, however, access to the Park will be limited. Onsite parking, sports and field rentals will not be available.
The Cullen Running Trails Center will operate during regular business hours on these days. However, the adjacent Running Complex parking lot will be closed to all users.
WHAT’S IMPACTED? All Memorial Parking lotswill be closedto the public from March 27 – 30. If visiting the Park on these days, visitors should walk, bike, ride share or take METRO.
*Please note, the parking lots at Memorial Park Golf Course, Vale-Asche Playground, Sports Complex (East & West) and Tennis Center will also be closed March 23-26.
The parking lots at the Fitness Center, Clay Family Eastern Glades, Picnic Loop and Running Complex will remain open March 23-26.
Street Closures from March 27-30:
• East and West Memorial Loop Drive
• Westcott entrance at Memorial Loop Drive
• Arnot Street from East Memorial Loop Drive to Crestwood Drive
NO park-user or tournament parking allowed in the followingneighborhoods:
• Camp Logan
• Crestwood
• Glen Cove Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced.
HOW DO I GET TO THE PARK?
Park users are encouraged to utilize rideshare services, walk, bike or use the Houston Metro bus to access the Park.
Designated rideshare drop-off locations will be established for the tournament, and Metro will maintain its usual bus routes.
The Metro Bus Line #20 travels east and west along Memorial Drive, with several stops within the Park. Visit the Metro website for more information.
Visitors and runners at Memorial Park are encouraged to seize the chance to explore one of the Houston Parks and Recreation Department’s 381 additional parks and 196 miles of trails.
