Katy Barber
Assistant Director of Development Operations
Katy joined MCP in 2023. As the Assistant Director of Development Operations, she serves as a strategic partner to the Director of Development, helping to shape and implement internal development operations policies, procedures, and technological solutions to create efficiencies and effectiveness in the Conservancy’s fundraising efforts. With almost 10 years’ experience in the arts and non-profit sectors, Katy has a proven track record in creating engaging and successful fundraising initiatives, success in campaign and donor management, CRM management and reporting, stewardship, fund administration, and team leadership. She previously oversaw development services at the Menil Collection, and has led database conversions and developed donor stewardship programs at The Health Museum, Long Center for the Performing Arts, and the Honolulu Museum of Art. She holds master’s degree in Museum Studies and Nonprofit Management from Johns Hopkins University, and a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and Art History from Sam Houston State University. As a native Houstonian, she is an avid trail runner and is excited to foster Houston’s greenspaces for future generations.
